The Australasian Society for Developmental Paediatrics (ASDP formerly NBPSA) is a not-for-profit, member-led organisation, committed to advancing the health, development, and wellbeing of children and young people, particularly those with developmental concerns. Our members are doctors with a specialist clinical and/or academic interest in developmental paediatrics.
Our work is guided by the belief that every child should have the opportunity to thrive. In addition, we believe that the professionals who support them should be equipped, supported, and sustained to provide optimal care.
ASDP's Vision
Every child and family, empowered to thrive.
ASDP's Mission
To foster excellence and shape the standard in developmental paediatrics.
ASDP’s Purpose
Through support and education, networking and collaboration, we nurture a professional paediatric community, enabled to provide best-practice care for all children with developmental needs.
Together, we strive to ensure that every child is recognised, included, and supported to achieve their full potential.
We support paediatricians in their professional practice, caring for children with developmental concerns. Some of our benefits are for members only, click here to learn about membership.
The ASDP acknowledges the traditional custodians of the various lands on which we live, work and play. We pay respect to Elders past and present. We re-state our shared commitment to advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, and Māori health and education and commit our skills to working together in a spirit of collaboration and respect, for the benefit of all children.
